I had seen another video but haven't found it again where it shows noctis in open world game play able to slide down cliffs jump over things jump down the cliff and it wasn't the kind that was in FFXIII... it was free jumping you can even see a hint of it when he jumps on the tank.

Which is midjump so you dont know if its free roam or like ff13, BUT the battle system does show jumping thus it could be free. Or could also be automatic in some areas, eg run to edge and keep running you leap off, instead of following it down.

That was the kind of game play SE should have given us. But we get more of the same now so best to just forget that this was a possibility.
