I'm still unsure how contribution works on these things.
If you're in a party and the party in total hands in like 30, but you get there at the last second and hand in one, you still get full exp right?

It doesn't seem though like you have to actually turn them in if your party has.
I did one of the turn-in FATEs near Aleport and while I had ~20 items in my inventory I didn't get a chance to turn in a single one because I didn't notice the timer click in. I still got gold participation for it.
Methinks a lot of people aren't actually reading the OP.
I do think they should extend the timer some, but not too much. 1:30 or 2:00 would be sufficient, I think.
Turn in about 6, you'll get gold.
You don't need to kill a single thing, items just lay around on the ground..
Not sure why you are complaining about the easiest types of Fates
You basically want to join a fate AFTER it's done and still get gold. Why are you surprised about the responses you get?
And yes, it's exactly the same as showing up at a mob/boss fate after all the mobs have been killed and expecting to have another 2-3 mins to kill mobs so that you can get gold too. 1 minute is more than enough to hand in stuff, IF you actually participated in the fate. Showing up after it's done and going "but I want gold too!" is not how it works.
You may not get to/get gold for every fate you see. Sometimes I still got silver with under a min left for these fates.
