    Same reason they call it AF2, relic armor, and any number of other names. They have no idea what to call it so they stuck a .5 on the end (though I like AF2 myself, since it's pretty much the 2nd version of your AF, not the 1.5th)

    I personally consider the ilvl 90 gear to be AF1 now. The gear you get during the job questline is really just job gear, not AF. With that in mind, the new AF2 gear designation in the last producer's letter makes sense.

    Oh yeah, it actually does say AF2 on there doesn't it? I never even thought to look that closely at it.
