First, I'd just like to point out that THEY SHOULD be undercutting you. If supply increases without an equal or greater increase in the demand, the price should fall.
Undercutting will always and should always be apart of any market.
It's rather complicated to explain in full detail, but the basic idea is simple. The items are obviously so easy to get, that the supply is constantly being increased far above the demand. Or, someone is spending their time lowering their prices constantly just to ensure their goods sell first. They lose gil, and the supply never changes so you should be able to sell still. But considering how you state that you haven't sold in weeks, then I'm assuming the supply is overly abundant.
Which means simply, the market does not really need anymore black sole, and it's trying to encourage people to move into more productive things. Or if you just want to keep selling black sole, then you will have to keep selling for a cheaper and cheaper price.
Really it's all perfectly normal.
thats the thing, it's like that with majority of items on my server, it's getting to the point where since most of our players are leveling crafts theres no longer a need for items.. albeit there seems to be a rise of new players. So perhaps give it a few months. And yes I know how a market works.. I know that i'm supposed to be getting undercut, but the thing is our market right now is so messed up it's just getting annoying. By messed up I mean too many items and no ones buying because all the major crafters are starting to gather their own stuff..

Short and sweet explanation: People are expecting their time and gil leveling gather/crafting classes to be compensated greatly in the future, so they are willing to spend time and gil now to level these classes. Gatherers lose gil by leveling a class that is of little use to the markets and they recieve less profit for their time. Crafters lose by spending large amounts of gil on materials and either vendoring or selling at a reduced price. Either way profit is significantly lower than it should be for everyone.By messed up I mean too many items and no ones buying because all the major crafters are starting to gather their own stuff..
Only thing that will fix this is increasing demand for crafted items, and lo and behold the materia system, specifically designed to accomplish this task. So, 1.19 should change things up a bit.
crafting is incredibly complicated so no matter what you sell your items for its always not going to seem like enough most of my items i get as quest rewards and yes i undercut, i sell them for 5K less than lowest price but they still don't sell.
Some items on the market today are way to expensive then what they should be. Me being mainly battle class understand that if certain items are too high for example gear unless I'm lvl 50 ill level a bit higher with my old gear and buy the next best thing, considering currently higher level gear is cheaper because there is more of it out there. We have lvl15 gear on the market selling for 50-60k when it should only be 20k max. So just a heads up from the buyers pov ^_^

I know 1.19 will fix it, but it will take time, and even then if theres a materia thats really good then people will just start farming said materia.. which makes some gear still unwanted.
