There's a blatantly obvious lag issue with your servers. Many threads have been put out, many threads have been ignored. When will this issue actually be dealt with -- or even ACKNOWLEDGED? This game is currently 90% unplayable for a huge population of the players on NA/EU servers. Abilities do not go off until several seconds after applying. Monster abilities don't even show up until the second they are cast, i.e. ADS using High Voltage or Piercing Laser and it just goes off instantly because of stop-and-go bursts of freeze-lag that can last up to 10 seconds. This shit's screwing the entire game up and should be top priority of fixing.

The game lag here and there it's there issue it been known. They don't need to say anything all they going to say if they do is we looking into it which i sure they are.

I play on Phoenix and Hyperion pretty much every night (UK times), I see none of the the lag you claim is there making the game "90% unplayable for a huge population" and nor do most of those in the FCs I play in.

Quoting PING times of 4-10 clearly shows you don't understand what they are and what they mean, you CAN'T have times that short and in any case ping times of 150 are fine; I raid just fine in WOW and LOTRO with times like that, FFXIV is no different.

I had HUGE lag at first, till my ISP STOPPED THOTTLING P2P, I suggest you take it up with them, since BT stopped that customer-hostile practice I've played with barely a glitch for the last 6 weeks.

Umm I don't think you know what your talking about, I HAVE a ping of 4ms.. can post proof if you need.. so you my friend do not know what you are talking about.

It is possible because that's how much MS I get. Just because you get more doesn't mean it's impossible. Congratulations for not having the lag issues, what do you want me to tell you lol? This isn't an open discussion forum for your issues vs mine, this is an awareness post to SE. If you took the time to actually look up the forums, you'll see that a huge amount of people are actually having the same exact issues that I am. This is to address for those people. My whole purpose of quoting my MS/Ping is to show it's clearly not my ISP. I will however take your advice, and try to talk to my ISP for about the 8th time now in 2 weeks. Maybe it'll change something after 8 tries? Who knows.

So you also are in the boat of believing that P2P throttling is happening....... Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa How much data is going up and down the line for xiv!? is it less than 150Kb a second yes it's low as hell if your isp was throttling you are you saying that they would put your connection at sub 0.05Mb I don't think so. And yes i have seen the huge thread of misinformation P2P throttling is a huge misdirection. Because there is next to no data to throttle and most isp's that do throttle don't drop your speeds any way near as low as what xiv uses so even if they did throttle it you wouldn't even notice.

Of course this issue isn't your ISP throttling your connection, and FFXIV uses far less then even 150KBps (uses around 500 bytes up, and 5,000 bytes down). I'd suggest you just ignore KraggyKor. He doesn't even have any character (search for him) near end game, so he really has no idea what frustration is.

This issue is a packet loss problem at some backbone circuits in the US. Why we are getting that packet loss is anyone's guess. They *could* be throttling the bulk data that matches the FFXIV protocol signature for all users in a region of the country, or at least putting it low on the QoS list and letting other traffic saturate the pipe first. Maybe it's a ploy by some back bone providers to milk some cash from SE to restore that priority.

For the record, I have no problem with end game. I have my +relic, and can down Titan. That doesn't mean there isn't a general issue across a lot of users with lag and packet loss that makes end game harder then it's supposed to be.

This issue has been around for 2 months no with no word from SE.. It is time for a statement. From the customer point of view... they are not doing anything at all. Two months if far to long a time to ignore a game breaking issue such as this.
