Economy on Exodus is absolutely whacked.

So guys, I don't know what the hell everyone is smokin but it better stop if you dont want to end up on playin on a no man's land in the upcoming months.*

Basically, each major servers (Adamantoise, Gilgamesh, Tonbery, Excalibur) got a really, really good economy where you don't have to spend 550k for a freaking single savage aim materia IV. It cost 80k for the ranks IV.

Craft prices are fair, but the materias and everything simply prevent to just play and enjoy the game because of insane greediness from the people here. So yeah, let people play with crafted gear, enjoy items etc and believe me, you ll sell + it'll be profitable for everyone.


I mean who the hell want to pay 1.500 000 gils (if you don't have the peacock ores in order to do an astral ring for example, base cost is 1.080 000 gils only for them + 500k for the savage aim 4 ) to just have the possibility to try to do some forbidden melding on HQ crafted items in order to reach the possible stats cap ? considerin that, even rank 3 materias cost like 55k each.

Wake up people, you re shootin yourself in the feet.

We WANT to have these items and play around with. NOTHING justify EXODUS to have such CRAZY prices.

Supply and Demand, major servers have a much more competition which drive prices lower, more materials are pumped on the board. If you're not willing to gather and find your own materials in these early months on Exodus, you're going to have a bad time.

1) Materia have always been for an exclusive crowd in the first place...the armor you get that's worth slotting is up there in price too
2) if you're not going to level a craft/gather your own stuff...then don't complain. People are taking advantage of the time/cost they put into their crafts...which is just fine.

Wrong, and wrong. You can meld materia from lvl 19, which make you able to level up with crafted gear all the way down to lvl 50.

Considerin that only a couple of classes (scholar, monk, casters) truelly benefit from crafted gear and that it totally worth it, whats the point to make them pay insane prices if they just want to have the possibility to get what make your class, well just enjoyable to play ?

Gear isn't pricey at all on Exodus, no need to complain here, bought a couple of pieces of Vanya and a Deus Ex weapon that were like sold for 450 - 500k gils maximum.

Rank 3 is currently sold for 50k piece.

Any rank 3 to 4 is like a +2 / +3 stat points enhance. If you guys still didn't get that you can have a really easy time at havin materias IV for like 20k gils maximum investment, then I don't really know what to say. Nobody got a global state of affairs for every single item sold on the AH I guess.

So that's the whole point, population ? There can't be any demand with so high prices. Its rather people puttin prices so high that have to be blamed : as said before, you can find a totally reliable way to get rank 4 materias and it cost maybe 20k gils for the investment, which you can sell for like 80 - 100k maximum, and that is well understood / done everywhere else, and thats why it's sold so much. They are competitive guilds here, also people eager to do coils, its just a server like others.

Its just not an excuse.

People like me leveled several toons on different servers since the free transfers were just evocated for the first time, made money, transfered everything back here and now enjoyin the luxury of havin 2 - 3 toons that got the crafted HQ 2 stars pieces that matter, of course all beein melded

Gave more money in total to people on another servers than on people on Exodus that probably deserve it. Sure you can rely on dumb spirits to sell your too high priced items, but don't you think than appealing the masses wouldn't be more profitable ? I'm just sayin that you put by yourselves a lot of potential customers on the side, and that you can sell more (hence, makin dough faster) but hey, your call

I see what the pain is here. Unfortunately the only remedy would likely be for more materia to be available. I could be wrong, but fixing the materia prices can't be coordinated.

I understand supply and demand, but I can't picture people paying that much for level 4 mateira. If they are selling like hot cakes then so be it, that's how much I would charge too. If they are not selling and sitting on the market board for days on end, I don't understand why you wouldn't drop the price to sell them faster.

Piety IV, Vitality IV and Savage Aim IV just dont sell at all, last person that bought 2 Savage IV each was me, because they were at least at half the price less of what is showed on the picture.

Gonna take daily screenshots for every rank IV on the market just in case, but yeah materias sold in two weeks for 1 million vs 4 - 5 a day for 80k each ? Its stupid easy to find gear to get rank IV on top, if you re a crafter.
