Please remove the ability to roll 'need' on Titan.

The point OP is putting up is that Need is for stuff you NEED. No one NEEDS it for the character they are running with (unless they are stupid and run it w/o relic reborn quest started or finished for that class). The class that can use it is probably the one who NEEDS it the least as the only reason for that weapon is to have for an alt.

BUT, they can not redo the entire system just for one instance, well they could but I see no reason to do so. If someone that badly want that gear let them have it. i do however just see it as inventory filler.

No, while that's the name of the system, the real purpose of need is so that classes that aren't appropriate for the weapon can't roll on it. That is all. It's simply called need.

If I "need" the weapon for vanity collecting, then I "need" it.

WITH A SILENT/STRANGER GROUP: Upgrade > Vanity > Greed
WITH FRIENDS/PEOPLE WHO ASK NICELY: Upgrade > Greed > Vanity

However nobody I've ever met tends to ask nicely in pick up groups. They just whine if they don't get the loot they wanted, like OP.

FYI with that second paragraph I meant let the tank needing for the tank gear have the tank gear. The part about needing it is pretty explaining the logic behind the post some seem to have lost while flaming this poor guy.

If you want to roll need on paladin shield, then guess what, you best get ready to tank Titan.

I have my +1 sword and shield, and the ONLY reason I tank titan is to help other people. If those items drop, I'm going to roll need on them. Not because I'm going to use them, but because I want to have them. If you want to have them too, then tank it.

Additionally, you people are acting like you beat titan and then boom relic. It doesn't work like that. If they're using an Ifrit weapon or lower, that will be an upgrade that will help them farm the stones they do need for their relic. (I'm not saying they NEED them to farm the stones, they will just make it easier)

The shield drops by itself.

Ifrit/Garuda drop GLD swords, and Titan drops GLD shield.

I'm a DPS that doesn't die to avoidable damage on Titan, which is apparently very rare.

I used BRD lvl 3 limit break to bring back about 4 people in the final phase...

That's why you don't die to avoidable damage on Titan. You're a Bard, and therefore benefit from all the positives of melee and ranged classes without any of the drawbacks. You're not special, you'd have to suck as a BRD to die to a lot of avoidable AEs in boss battles in general.
