    By the way..I ran into some players on Leviathan that do not know that Rear = rear and flank = side...just so you know, they're two different positions!

    These players had played the game since its release so I'm sure there's others that still don't know this..spread the word.

    I use this rotation on bosses mainly, but I recommend using it on trash too to train your muscle memory.

    1. Flank: ToD -> DK-> TwS -> SP :GLx1
    2. Flank: DK-> TwS -> IR(if up)-> DM -> Frac :GLx2
    3. Rear: BS -> IDx2 Side: TwS -> SP -> ToD :Glx3
    4. Repeat 2 and 3

    I fit in offensive Cd's between moves when they are up. What I like about this is it keeps your buffs, debuff, Hots and GL all up 100% of the time plus a bit of boost from BS crit and 2 impulse drives which activate really fast. With more skill speed I'm going to try and fit in IDx3.

    I save PB for burst damage e.g. PB+IR -> SPx4 Will add BfB to that when I get it.

    This is what works for me with my skill speed currently.

    That's what I do (Turn 5 access Monk here) but PB at start in order for my DM / Fract / Tod phase to be under GL3 and all other buff.

    Plus, I don't do any ToD at start, cause the duration is not complete if you are refreshing your DoTs the sooner (the better) and it doesn't worth it in this case. I did some calculation and DoTs during buffs are insane especially if shot soon.

    You're right, I double checked and the crit bonus also requires opo-opo >.<

    Now I've been doing this for rotation:
    DK (no bonus)>twin>demo>frac>ToD
    DK (w/ bonus)>twin>snap
    BS>twin>demo>frac
    DK>twin>snap>refresh frac/tod when needed
    BS>twin>demo>refresh frac/tod when needed
    DK>twin>snap>refresh frac/tod when needed
    BS>twin>demo>frac
    ....

    once i get more gear with skill speed reduction i may be able to fit in 2x impulse drive.

    If you are <= 2.10 GCD (which should be obvious with only a little of SS, you are missing a bit DPS not using True Strike (and you move for nothing from rear to flank also). Notice that 0.10 sec is not even to bother you ! And yet, you need 373 to 490 SS to gain only 0.10 sec on your final GCD.

    Yes I don't think I have that high of Skill speed yet. But will look to read True Strike when I do.

    I didn't realize this till like 30 lol. Course doing fates I hardly pay attention. But I see countless monks that either don't know, or they're lazy and don't care about dps.

    Interestingly I tested out a rotation including DoTs versus a non DoT rotation, I was quite surprised by the results.
    I expected the DoT rotation to do higher dps than the non DoT rotation. Even with keeping a 100% uptime on dots, and not clipping them (reapplying as it reaches 0 only), I found that both rotations had relatively similar dps with slight variations. The DoT rotation did do very slightly more but barely.

    I'll probably do more practice on the dummy, I was quite surprised.

    DoT rotation:
    DK (no debuff bonus yet)>twin>demo>frac>ToD
    DK (with debuff bonus now)>twin>snap
    BS>impulse drive 2x>twin>demo>frac
    DK>twin>snap>ToD
    BS>impulse drive 2x>twin>demo>frac
    DK>twin>snap
    BS> impulse drive 2x> twin>demo>frac>ToD
    DK>twin>snap
    repeat

    basically reapply DoTs when needed.

    Non DoT rotation:
    DK (no debuff bonus yet)>twin>snap
    DK>twin>snap
    BS>impulse drive 2x>twin>snap
    DK>twin>snap
    BS>impulse drive 2x>twin>snap
    DK>twin>snap
    repeat

    Obviously, using dps cooldowns weaved in between both rotations.

    When I get back home I'm going to see if i can maybe weave in more impulse drives between the times i do DK and twin snakes if possible.
    Also going to test what happens when I start by doing ToD first and perfect balance to build GL3 right off the bat to see how much difference it could make in dps. I've been noticing people do this to build GL3 right away which makes sense, so I'll test a new rotation with this in mind later today.

    On a side note:
    I'm wearing head, chest, gloves, 2 rings, bracelet, earrings for darklight. I'm also wearing belt, pants, shoes, neck as green drops from AK. no allagan/myth pieces yet. with that as my gear I used to be using the grand company weapon and had no blood for blood yet and i was doing a measly 150 dps. Now i finally have relic+1 and blood for blood, and then my dps shot up to 230 dps, a 50% increased just by upgrading my weapon and unlocking a cooldown. Hopefully later this week I'll get two more darklight pieces. I'm not sure if this is good for my gear level or not, i'm hoping with full darklight and a couple allagan/myth pieces I'll be over 300, not sure how much it'll scale though.

    I've heard similar statements across the forums. However, I'm always worried about "how" this was tested. I'm still unconvinced that the parsers that are currently out there accurately measure dots as well as dps in general. That's my only concern.

    So I've heard. I've been hearing that the dps parser doesn't measure DoTs accurately. and that it's inaccurate when measuring the dps of other party members.

    On topic: Another tip/trick, in dungeons on trash I like to pop internal release+blood for blood+perfect balance then spam rock breaker and when you can't any more end with a howling fist. if 3+ things are still alive then do 1-2-rockbreaker. so much trash dps and it's fun to play the "how much aggro can i steal from the tank" game
