I've heard similar statements across the forums. However, I'm always worried about "how" this was tested. I'm still unconvinced that the parsers that are currently out there accurately measure dots as well as dps in general. That's my only concern.

I think they're very accurate. We were in a Titan group with someone who used one and afterwards they posted the results of the fight where I did 44000000 damage total...so obviously very accurate because I know for a fact that it feels like I'm doing 44 million damage when >I< play.

It doesn't make mathematical sense for a DoT rotation to do less damage than or similar damage to a non-DoT rotation, especially in a controlled environment against a target that cannot die.

As much as it pains me to do it, I've sworn off parsers until there's an in-app option or an (admittedly against TOS) memory-reading parser. The only thing you can reliably measure on parsers in terms of DoTs is how many rather than how much, but that won't tell you anything useful.

The worst part is there are so many clowns who swear by parsers that I actually took this seriously for a moment.
