BRD DL Vs AK Gear

Hi I finally just got my BRD to level 50 and was wondering which gear set is better? Or should be I mix and matching for both sets?

All the DL gear is better than AK gear. You might get more crits from the AK ones, but the dex gained from DL gears offset that.
Only the AK ring should be on your bard, but that's because you can't have 2 dl rings.

I'd rather throw off 1 or 2 Dex from Darklight for the Crit I can get from Gloves and Leggings of AK.

I thought its been calculated roughly that at current gear level, 1 primary stat = 7 secondary stats.
If you look at the DL glove, you get 2 more dex than the AK glove. That is 2 primary stats or 14-ish secondary stats.
But you only gained 11 crits if you choose the AK glove.
The DL glove also gives you 8 determination as well.
If I'm wrong about this calculation, please tell me.

In either case, DL gear also gives you more vitality and defense.

It's not exactly 1:7 scaling per se. This was ONLY calculated for determination, which is estimated to be roughly scaling at 1:6 compared to mainstats. For critrate it should be more like 1:2 if I recall correctly.

1 Dex is much, much better than 2 crit.

Toxotes Hands/Legs are the only two pieces that are comparable to DL.
(Of course you want the AK ring because you can only wear 1 DL ring)
As for if they're actually BETTER, that depends on a LOT of factors that haven't been fully modeled.
It's impossible to compare Dex directly against secondary stats without knowing your current gear level as some stats are scalars that work off the current value of others.

So here's what I would suggest:
Don't buy DL Hands/Legs first.
If you happen to pick up Toxotes Hands/Legs in the meantime, then keep them and go ahead and replace the rest of your gear with DL first.
Then after you don't have any other pieces to buy, go ahead and replace the Toxotes Hands/Legs with Darklight.
