I dont think bst will work here no nms to hunt
I dont think bst will work here no nms to hunt
What I gathered is that like your chocobo when out helping you.... a pet would also transfer zones and dungeons as we always wished. This is a little old but as far as I know Beastmaster was confirmed and is coming eventually
Note the talk about the 'tame ability'
I don't know how it would work - especially in dungeons but you can't have BST without tame. And Yoshi specifically mentioned a 'beast tamer' class.
BSt in FFXIV.. makes me laugh thinking about it. Oh snikez, you charmed a level 50 mob, "Oooo I can 1 shot that one too"....
The mobs in this game are so underwhelming and soloable by anyone, why would you want to charm one. And what role, if any, would you have in a dungeon? It's not like you need to be a BST to solo, everyone can solo in this game.
"It would only make sense to bring back our beloved Beastmaster class to charm all those terrifying mobs with. Truely a pet class worthy of being in FFXIV."
What terrifying mobs? There aren't any I can think of unless your going to walk up to a world boss fate and charm behemoth (which would make a lot of people mad... lol).
What point would this class have. Every reason to have this class in FFXIV is a non relevant reason in FFXIV. To solo? no don't need BST to solo in XIV. To solo kill NM's, there are no NM's in FFXIV. To farm higher level stuff? There is no higher level stuff in FFXIV and there are only two items worth farming.
What role would you have in a dungeon/raid? Charm adds and sick them on the boss? Attack the boss with your pet and wail on him with axes?
BST typically would be able to handle all jobs. It would be a major addition to the game if they also equiped dungeon finder to allow BST to queue based on minimum stat requirements for healing, tanking, dpsing.
Its MORE THAN WORTH the work to put into the best class EVER !
Its not the best class ever mostly people used to afk kill mobs so ehats the point if here we dont habe hnms or NM
The way BST worked in FFXI seemed more like a coincidence than anything intended by SE (just like how NINs ended up being tanks). They clearly wanted them to be a DD job that just happened to use a pet, it was just the playerbase that found them to be great for soloing in a game that made soloing hard for the majority of jobs.
Not sure how BST being able to work in a game has anything to do with the existence of NMs. Hell, I'd even go as far as saying that they have absolutely nothing to do with each other. This is like saying that RDMs can only work in a game with NMs.
Berserker would be better imo. Especially for all the Warriors that would like to be pure DPS
.
BST never required NM, HNM, etc.... it was a fun class that more than half the people who tried it fell in love with it.The way BST worked in FFXI seemed more like a coincidence than anything intended by SE (just like how NINs ended up being tanks). The classic pet class of all games at its best!
I can see BST going two ways. A Normal streamlined job with a few pets, or a Limited Job that can utilize multiple monsters.
Eureka (and previously diadem) says hi. Also Who says BST has to pull only from NMs? Fate bosses, Dungeon bosses and even regular overwrld mobs could work well enough.
