Forced into a life of mining ore

Back in pre ARR I was a very active participant in the Balmung Pug scene. I would farm Primals all day long and I loved it. Now that this horrible story is in place, my life no longer includes slaying massive beasts and taking their treasure. You see, we are now being forced through a bad story if we want to unlock endgame content, and I refuse to subject myself to button mashing through walls of text and completing fetch quests. Each primal used to have a stand alone quest line that one would complete in order to unlock it.

So now there is nothing to do except mine ore.

man, OP must really hate Final Fantasy games before 10, with all their nasty clicky text and all that

I don't like any Final Fantasy games besides tactics and XIV.

You don't have to, you choose to. Stop making yourself look like a victim when it's your own decisions causing your frustration. If you refuse to play the awesome story then that is your choice, you are not being forced to do anything.

The story is actually pretty great, and you're missing out on some really cool looking boss fights by not running the final instance of the game. Enjoy mining.

lol the story is awful, I can't condemn anyone for not wanting to run through all these awful fetch quests.
