    Well actually the beast tribes call them Primals, the Garleans call them Eikons, I think I've also heard of them referred to as Eidolons somewhere.

    SE can't make up their damn minds.

    I was also wondering if they would let all classes freely summon as well. Something everyone will unlock maybe?
    But also, i wouldn't want to have to control a pet all the time (unless you could adjust its AI and then ignore it).

    Wrong Tanaka said you can but it would take a lot of quest-chain to do it. I don't know if Yoshi-p going to do this but Tanaka said that later you be allow to learn from the beastman spell,ws,JA and even new stuff for DOH. So we could learn how to summon Ifrit from the beastman.

    Don't read if you did not do Ifirit mission in ffxiv
    Ifirt does ask you i'll help you but you can't ask the other avatars for help. This tell you that a class/job could learn how to summon them all later by asking for there help make a pack with them.
