Every gear, not only crafted gear, have durability.
If you think it is for the synthese durability then the stat would not make sense on gathering tools/rings

That aside, lets take the crafting tools gained from achievements. They were tied for being the best tools in the game. Not worse, equal.

When I first saw it on my ARM luminary (the only one I had) i thought it was something to do with the synthesis durability as I didn't know it was on any other gear. It's an easy mistake to make and could be a little clearer.
