Get disconnected from the server while playing the game and at times while logging in

Does your internet get use by everyone on your University? If it does then there too much load then you get D/c from FFXIV because of packet lost. When i have a uttorrent up i try and put it on the lowest download speed and find the right spot so i can still download and not lag but never get d/c from ffxiv do to internet problems.

Yes, it does indeed get used by a LOT of people in my university.

If I read that correctly, you say you only get disconnected from the FFXIV server while you're downloading torrents?..

yeah, that was something i read on another forum and tried myself at home, where i have a stable connection.

At college/uni it doesn't matter, since i can't really control who is using torrents and who isn't, apart from other large amounts of internet usage anyway.

Can see if this helps. Alternatively, your network administrator may be the one limiting the number of open connections router side - To allow everyone a chance to use the network and to prevent p2p apps from overloading the network.
