I did it. Didn't much care for it. Holy hits like a truck but I just couldn't keep up due to Agro/MP restrictions. Of course, I also have a similarly geared BLM so the need for me to go as White Mage DPS doesn't mean as much as it would if it meant I couldn't go at all.

I do recommend that everyone try it once though. I learned quite a bit about a bunch of skills that I have never paid too close attention to.

Using benediction on someone with 50% health is probably not a good idea. I have used benediction a number of times without pulling hate, but it is pretty much an emergency only spell where you know the player will not survive the casting time for cure II.

Benediction does not over heal and is far better to use in a crutch situation than trying to spam heal them back to full. Just ignore idiots like that!

It's no different than casting Cure II on a tank with full HP. It's still going to pull aggro equal to how much it heals. Since Benediction automatically heals equal to the full amount of the target's HP, you could potentially be overhealing thousands of hit points.

I almost exclusively use Benediction on Tanks, and only when their HP has dropped below 1000 in emergencies. It's a highly useful, but also highly situational spell.

P.S. A DPS yelling at you over one aggro wipe needs to calm down. Stuff happens.

P.P.S. Why did the DPS have aggro in the first place? It had to have been on him first for you to steal it with Benediction. So technically, he screwed up first.

LOVE the meme btw! awesome, in the end look any half decent WHM is not just going to pop a Bene willy nilly, in the end STFU or be the whm yourself period. Is there times where maybe a WHM panics and drops one at the wrong time sure, but you know it is the WHM cross to bear. I don't tell the Tank when to Flash and I don't tell the BLM when to Flare...I have said it before I will say it again Phrini knows best just like when you make your kids a meal Sit down, shut up and enjoy your meal I don't care what you feel about it or you opinion don't like it get a job and pay the mortgage yourself.

Yes it pulls hate, but if you have the tank use provoke it's no biggie at all.

yep it does cause hate.... but i usually use bene when tank hp like 10%
usually it does not cause agro switch
but i do know medica II + regen pull more hate or constant cure II cause more hate than 1 benediction
what to do >.< tank pull 3 mob groups.... what else to do >.<
bene of course or tank gonna die
