I still think that this DN favors the tank class i made more 10 runs and didnt get a single drop for me, and in all those runs i got eavery time peaces of tank gear !
If its indeed true that system is random then sorry but they need to retink it this is a horrable system for loot witch they made ! Why do we get loot for a class witch is not in the party whats the point of it ! And I do understand that the gear must not be easy to get, this i really do understand ! But a system witch makes for some players super easy to get the gear and for some imposable no matter what is not fair !

For what it's worth, I never saw cavalry gear until WAY after I outleveled Brayflox's Longstop. I remember it being all battlemage and infrantry when I was trudging through that one. So...yeah, random gear drops are random.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

The problem lies more in how the RNG generates the loot (a computer cannot generate random numbers without an outside source [entropy]), not the random aspect itself. Condering HM Primals have a supposed 1/9 chance of dropping your weapon, having to run it 50 times without even seeing the weapon is a statistical anomaly, if the RNG simply used conventional sources of entropy.

I have all battle, infantry and cavalry gear. Battlemage took me going to the same ID from 32-36 with all 3 mage classes. Then I started working on my Infantry and took me roughly the same, on the 3rd DPS class I had the whole set. Thankfully after all those runs I gathered all the Cavalry pieces. I lost count on how many runs I did overall.
RNG is RNG, like previous posters have said. I had to run 45 times Ifrit HM to get my WHM weapon (I saw it twice, lost on one). Some of my LS took more than 60 runs. Some got it on their first run. Its a matter of patience.
random drop rate "but i didn't get it in 15 goes"
dear god stop moaning and play the game, i did many runs to get my tank gear and was happy when i got it.
