At this point, I would like jump. Why? Personally, I think the "advanced collision detection" looks a little ridiculous. It looks like you are taking an elevator up the side of the wall. "doop! going up!" You just slide right up and down it. If they added jump, they could add things later like cliffs that you need to jump across, floating platforms you need to hop across (as seen in previous FFs, only manual jumping), heck, I would prefer auto-jump once you reach a ledge or platform over leaving it as it is.

What does it add? Interesting animations and more flavor to character movement (we all know that a lot of animations are dull as is), opens options for the future of the game, interesting terrain mechanics.

Hey guys, they are planning on testing out how it would work, how do you know it would be something you would dislike when they haven't given any details?

Why don't people just wait and see how it turns out? Maybe they will implement it in a way that many people here can enjoy. What ever happened to "I don't care what the reviews say, I'm going to try this game out for myself to see how it goes"? Where is that logic at in this situation?
I'm personally in agreement with this really. The 'sliding' up and down the hill (Granted the sliding up the hill wouldn't be fixed easily) annoys me a bit, especially the falling. There's no falling at all you just, well, like you put it, you just plopped down. Not even a landing animation.

I have the same attitude as well, I'm just waiting, right now I don't really care about jump until they fixed the more urgent issues first.

And Evangela:

I would really really really love it if you even try to answer this question:

Why should SE put more priority in jumps ahead of the more important issues that need to be fixed first?

Why should SE put jump in higher priority than Content? Or market Wards? or Battle fixes?
