I love how people call the "non jumping" argument baseless.......

You want baseless? ok... I have played 20 MMORPGs pay and free that allowed free jumping, and guess what people did in every single one of them?

Bunny hopped (annoying)
Kangaroo fighting (really annoying)

and in all 20 of them, jump was not really even needed, there was nothing in any of them that really required jumping, it was just added for no real reason.

TRUTH. In every game I've seen that has it, people are springing all over the place like frogs. I feel embarrassed for them whenever I see it. I can't stand to look at it very long. It's even worse when it's in combat. Biggest immersion breaker ever. If FFXIV had free jumping I'd probably have to quit. I don't think I'd be able to role-play anymore.
Being sick at home all the time I need an escape and I like to think of XIV as a place not a game. People springing all over the place kind of kills that for me.

Didn't say it was gamechanging.. Most people want it so they can clear obstacles or the stupid cliffs you can't seem to 'cross' over.

and thats understandable
yet at the same time, they are complaining that it isnt super high priority like its the only thing that can save this game in the world(eva)


we know jumping will come eventualy, wether people want it or not
its a damn moot point at this time yet people are still arguing like they can influence wether or not it comes

its coming, the anti jump people need to accept that
itl take a long time to come because its obviously not a priority, and the pro jump people need to accept that

Jump implementation won't automatically allow for that. I can create a java game where you can jump but I can guarantee unless I specifically design it as such, you won't have a true use for it other than a jump key.

You just don't want other people to be happy do you? Man sister, you are just one boring person. Like Thevedis said, you are going to have to accept that it is most likely going to happen just like auto-attack happened and I'm accepting it... Even though I didn't want it to begin with
