At least my sarcasm came through. I mostly just needed to rant about it.

If jump could be implemented for the purpose of traversing obstacles only, that would be ok.
Perhaps disable it in combat, and only have hump height = 1/8 character height. Only available every 5-10 seconds. Add fall damage if you jump too far off a cliff that could kill you.
I'd consider it a proper jump solution at that stage.

Find a way for jump to serve a purpose if you want to see it implemented, right now it doesn't have much of one other than to let people jump over small gaps. To make it useful you would either have to change the way jump works like in my example, or change the terrain of the game to make it jumping valid.
