Great idea here. Put in a system to prevent people from abusing it.
Ok now people with the spamming argument what do you have to say?![]()
Unfortunately your common sense is hardly common. As this thread and others clearly shows. Your mistaking your own biased opinions as common sense, which is quite hilarious to see.
it's much faster, and more fun, to see you run in circles and try to bite your tail, while failing to aknowledge the fact that people have posted plenty arguments, and that they're no less valid than yours (actually more, mind you). There is no need to repeat those fabled valid arguments against jumping yet you repeated what, 3 times now that there is arguments somewhere instead of telling me what these arguments are and end this debate. Wow...
Nope. We shouldn't have jump because many people evidently dislike it, and what the developers are actually doing right now (removing collision detection on cliffs) makes jumping completely obsolete and useless with this game's level design.I'm just following your logic, you seem to think we shouldn't have jump because you and some other people say so.
No. I read that not only jumping has been downgraded in priority, but it's implementation is also clearly stated as something that's not a given. It's getting further away, and very possibly it won't happen at all. Looks like things look quite bleak for the jumping fans, and quite obviously, looking at your heated posts in which you attack people on a personal level and mistake your own opinion as absolute fact, this is causing you to rage your heart out.You talk about selective reading, yet Yoshi-P wrote that it's on low priority for now, which makes sense as the core gameplay mechanics are broken and need fixing asap. And you read what? "Jumping features is abolished" lol....
Oh, just for the record, bolding your posts doesn't make your arguments more solid. Might wat to write like everyone else instead of flying in the face of the most basic notions of netiquette.

Not much of an argument, but a question.
More like two questions.
1. For the 5th time, would collision-based jumping be good enough? (I cant wait to see this go ignored again.)
2. How would free-jumping be any different from collision-based jumping and/or our current way of being able to scale terrian?
I actually pray we don't have to jump around to evade. Actually, if added, we shouldn't be able to jump while in combat.
Exploration on the other hand sounds fun.
If its a fixed system where you can only do it in location sensitive events basically sure. I personally would prefer its restricted to Chocobo and the more you jump the faster the chocobos stamina is drained and once you drain its stamina it flys away from you. Then implement areas you can only get too with Chocobos but can leave on foot.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
Well yeah you can't have dodging by jumping if a game's combat won't let you.. especially if they are going back to auto-attack.
Elexia, you are so funny
Why the hell does it matter that jump has never been in an FF game before? This isn't a console RPG, it's an MMO, most MMOs have a jump feature whether its needed or not. Also, I've played all the main games in the series, it would be nice to see something new added after 15 years of playing the games.
