I think one of the things that the developers have in mind are the people who don't have access to these forums, and who couldn't vote on things like polls, if they want to reach out to more subscribers then they will most likely be implementing more of these things that an average MMO player deems as a "basic feature".

I can't think of one game (mmo that's p2p) that doesn't have a jump feature in it. Atleast nothing that is big. If you guys se wants to keep the game old school whatever hopes they had of topping even the crappiest mmo will be long gone. No jumping was ok for ffxi but for a game made now in days its unheard of. Hell even guild wars which didn't have jump is now putting it into guildwars 2. mmos are just not very fun when you dont have full control of your character

They did not say that. According to plan, it will still be implemented, just later, after the more important stuff is fixed first.
