When I try to use /focustarget on PS3, it says "that command does not exist." Am I missing something here, or did they just think it would be OK to leave the function out for PS3 players?

WOW, I read your post and went back to pc, typed /focustarget and got what I get when I hit "shift f". Glad you brought that up because I never new it was a command. Maybe add that to your macro line and see if it works there. I usually tell my ps3 players to uncheck direct chat and use "shift f" to make focus target. Is that not there either? Shame if it is not.
Double THIS Triple THIS Quadrupale THIS. I hate hate hate how I can't take it off! Can't tell you how many times I goofed up because of that focus function. Honestly I wish they would put the focus target key to my select button. Hell what do we even use select for anyway?
That has messed me up a few times!
Focus target is not the same as lock on. Focus target behave the same as if you have a mob selected, and then use up/down arrows to highlight a party member, then cast a cure on them. After the cure it will revert to your focus target. It is a very nice feature. Focus target boss, switch around mobs or players. As soon as focus is lost on your current target it reverts to the boss.
Target lock on the other hand is an evil abomination that locks your camera and movement to the target and is mapped to the worst possible place on the controller guaranteeing you will hit it when you are trying to move out of an AOE rapidly.![]()
Focus target is extremely helpful for healers because it lets healers keep track of individualized aggro and boss casting bars while still casting spells.
It is really ridiculous that it is not added on the PS3.
It has nothing to do with lock-on, which is less than worthless for everyone except for arguably melee DPS (and probably not even them, because they're the ones who need to quickly dodge out of AoE).
