It killed the mood for me
It was a very fun "battle" every time we parsered the coil. Now progress is stopped for the BRDs of my FC, untill a dev clarify what they have in mind for the class.
I think they will shift bard to more support role. In coil ,bard prob not highest DPS class but it will be in pvp for sure if no change happen. I think SE will tune bard with further contents together. No one doubt bard is top demand for coil as dps at moment.
I wonder how queuing for dungeons would be post nerf. Like if they reduce our dps... fights like the AK wall, will become impossible with 2 bards as dps, unless they also change our LB to a support limit (raises team dps) or change our limit to a dps one.
I think they could nerf our damage 40% and the wall would still not be a problem.
Hard to say... its impossible to control the gear of parties. Most dungeons the DPS LB is nice to have.. and compensates for undergeared players. Without it... lower dps can be a huge handicap on teams.
Wall is too easy for bard at moment, most other DPS suffer DPS lose from demon wall. No position to MNK and dragoon, Blm need move a lots. 20% damage reduction won't cause any problem for bard on wall.
1, you can flank the the wall as drg/mnk, cant get behind but can flank.
2. 2 geared bards dont see bee's on wall, so 2brd even if nerfed be fine
also, my guess on what we will see is a penalty to dmg or acc when moving. ever try to fire a bow running? its not easy. expect a 20% drop in acc when moving, thus stand still and fight (like we do 90% of the time or more) and there is no change in brd's DPS, but on fights where we get a big advantage as AOE mechanics do not affect us we now have a penalty which results in lost DPS when moving. If you ever played FFXI you may remember how easy mode things like Kirin that were 100% kited when you had a bunch of rng running after it taking advantage of the same mechanic we do now with BRD, what happened? acc penalty when moving or mob is moving (also dmg penalty for being too far or too close, but dont expect that here).
Blm barely loses, if any at all on wall. And I can't really remember the last time I saw bees, even in DF groups.
You could always buy one from the auction house - it was just a matter of grinding enough kinah (which was a royal pain in the rear, but it's a korean grinder game we're talking about).
