The current Sprint system is far from being broken. Next thing people will ask for is for sprint to not have a recast timer so the normal running speed of your character becomes the current sprinting speed.

"But, but, mages don't get any big drawbacks from using Sprint in combat like the melee jobs do!"

Yes, I realize that. I'm guessing that's SE's way of telling us that melee characters aren't supposed to be sprinting around during combat.
