    I have np with sprint eat TP, the TP regen way to fast. The TP will regen 2-4 sec after active sprint with enough amount to do standard 1-2-3 combo and a melee or BRD can do dmg while the sprint is in effect but the mage cant, their cast on move do shitty dmg beside the Fester from SMN if the dots are all setup but Fester is special skill, not a standard skill you can use often so it does not count

    Have to agree with removing TP as a factor with Sprint.

    Sprint has a long enough cooldown timer that it doesnt really need any costs associated with it.

    Wanders Palace Pre any nerf since i last did it & dont know about?> IT required you to sprint to avoid an attack at the second boss. Which as a games mechanic was unacceptable then the added slap to the face of no TP..... Not very well thought out many of these things in the game.

    (On A Side Note: Suppose it could be worse i mean what kind of person put in a game mechanic or Allow game mechanics in game like: Avoiding a AOE in the middle of the room where healers dont get notification due to haveing players targeted.....(Amdapor Keep) OR where a monster runs to the middle of a room to do a AOE (Or ice/fire blast) while you are targeting Wvyerns or party memebers in the oppisate direction of vie, no notifcation + lagg.....(hydra), generaly game mechanics that involve 0 to 50ms ping when you can't supply that to its players, You really have to question why this stuff wasnt properly tested & proper feedback wasnt given. <--Those examples both require sprint at times depending on player, connection, how much attanchion is being payed to things)

    AK situation - Huge purple glowy thing in middle of the room is a pretty fair indication whether you see the boss cast bar or not
    Hydra - generally well known that when Hydra runs to the middle of the room, you do too

    Attention and knowledge trumps all of these situations; you do not need sprint. The only time I've ever needed it myself, or have actually seen it used, is running around town (in which case you won't need TP) or during a speed run (which arguably is unintended). Oh, and running from node to node in Turn2, by which point you regen 'enough' TP before starting the next encounter. EDIT: And of course the encounter in WP where you have to run from the slime, but again, your TP should be plenty regenerated by the time he stops chasing you and you go back to damage him.

    Arguably, these mechanics WERE tested, just by people that were paying attention and realised they couldn't bake a cake and calculate the square root of Phi while trying to run a dungeon. Get some knowledge for the encounters and pay attention to the mechanics, and you'll find things go a lot better; it is the same reason why the first time you do something you generally fail, but after you'e done it 10 times you breeze through it. Of course, it all spirals downwards, because if you need to use sprint as a crutch, you probably aren't doing as well as you could be in other areas, so you're overall performance gets worse.

    TL;DR:- Attention and knowledge trumps mechanics; you shouldn't need sprint in battle. MP cost on sprint would end encounters early when healers accidentally/purposely use sprint and no longer have mana to heal. Do you guys even consider these kind of situations before you make comments like these? Or is it "This affects me so needs to be changed to affect everyone!" or "The small PvP portion of this PvE focused game will be broken if it stays this way!" (even though we know bards are going to own everyone anyway, not the casters). Egocentrism at its finest.

    That's funny, yeah a 67% up time on sprint with no cost will definitely make this game better *sarcasm*. Anyone who seriously thinks a BLM can DPS on the run has literally no idea how a black mage works...scathe is nice but for most AoEs it's not even worth triggering the GCD for. You guys shouldn't have brought this up at all, if they do "fix" this feature, they will give it a 2 min cooldown and you would have ruined in town travel for everyone.

    I dont see whats wrong here O.o.......if your a Tank and going to use sprint in battle you are running from your own death....of course mages need it to dodge things the squishy guys cant handle...same with some dps...if sprint took mages MP then they would just sit there and watch you die cause a WHM or SCH cant heal you with no MP....i think the system is perfectly fine

    might be a lil different for DPS but hey.....i guess learn to dodge haha

    Mages are a lot squishier than DD and tanks.. so should we give all mages better defence and HP at the same time as we remove TP cost from Sprint?

    Melee DPS - Higher Physical Defense, Lower Magical Defense, Melee DPS
    Mage DPS - Higher Magical Defense, Lower Physical Defense, Ranged DPS
    Bard - In the middle, Ranged DPS

    Sprint is not required for any battle content.

    I disagree, I like it the way it is now.

    I hope that when Thf rolls around we get a flee that does the same thing as sprint, but with no TP drain. If everyone can sprint carelessly, flee will be pointless.

    Mages will never be able to kite as well as a Thf due to how squishy they are, but now bare with me, what good would a Thf kiter be if Pld could sprint carelessly?


    Also, mages sprinting gives them no advantage inside of content, if they sprint passed the tank they can only go as far as then next pack of mobs. Are you jelly they can stand in front of the mobs waiting on the tank to arrive for 3 seconds before the rest of the party gets there?
