This LAG reminds me of another launch...

I work for our local cable company and have been looking into these lag spikes, and I don't think it's the servers causing the problem.

There may be an issue with their backbone provider (GTT). I have contacted them along with one of our circuit providers to find out why there are errors between the two points. Depending on your geographic location and router conditions, some might not experience any problems while others would.

I connect to Hyperion, and route up from Virginia up thru a Quest-CenturyLink circuit. That circuit was clean until it hands off to one of the GTT routers in Montreal (xe-4-2-0.mtl10.ip4.tinet.net [141.136.107.125]). This hop had 10% loss over 45 minutes while the Quest hop before it had none during the same time frame. The problem cleared up about an hour after speaking with GTT, so I couldn't get much done with our rep from Qwest.

I'll keep digging...
