flying wont happen with the way the game is currently designed, also Eorzea isnt that big, each sqaure on the map grid is 100 yalms, if yalms = yards roughly then the areas are about 1 square mile.

Aren't the Dunesfolk Lalafel supposed to live in houses on top of Goobues?

I am a (tail-less) Galka so I doubt I could fit in the house but I could probably ride one.

i think chocobos should serve a different purpose, like food. let us has other mounts

It would be cool to be able to ride with someone on their chocobo. They had it on one of the cutscenes with those two Lalafell. Or maybe that chocobo wagon in the Ul'dah intro that could carry multiple people. Customizable chocobo colors and armor would be great too.

Yes! for Chocobo only mounts but with different looks, other then just colours.
Example:
-Longer feathers on both sides of the head, similar to FF13,
-Longer necks, short necks etc
-Long tail feather, short, split etc
-Different beak size, long, sharp, big, short etc
-Different comb size, spiky, bald etc
-Longer legs, or thick legs - sprint types, jump types etc

along with colours, so many possibilties!!!!!! Lets stick with Chocobos please!!!!

I'm quite excited about this. I hope it's more owned mounts like...well, most MMOs rather than the rented/limited ownership system of FFXI. In any MMO I think it's a great mark of progress/goal to shoot for to get your first mount, and of course getting cooler looking mounts is also part of that. Although Chocobos are a given, I like horsies as well,and they can co-exist!

Some kind of breeding system would, of course, help set this system apart from other MMOs, and let me breed some nice Black chocobos and (hopefully) white horsies! Is it too obvious that I like horsies? But a Chocobo is fine too =P.
