None all FFs are suitable for all those vehicles/mounts. For example, i would not like to see motorcycles or helicopters or similar "high-tech" stuff in FF14 sincerely, because the world is more "medieval" and they would be out of place.

Actually FFXIV was said to be akin to FFVI - a game that mixed old world magic and new world technology into more of a medieval meets steampunk kind of environment. If that's the case, the Garlean Empire could be compared to the Gestahl Empire and magitek armor is sure to make an appearance.

A long time ago, even before Alpha, Tanaka mentioned something along the lines of Magitek armour might be in the offing - when I eventually saw the opening movie, I guessed that Magitek had been the principle inspiration for the design of the Garlean Empire's kit, but I'd throw a mention about Magitek back in there just to keep the idea in the mix. (Edit: Just spotted Magitek mentioned above. Still, +1)

Elmer: Yes, that was the part that just made my credit card leap out of the wallet and go, "Where to, sir?" Final Fantasy VI and the possibility of Magitek Armor.

Corinth: Speculation time! Magitek Armor from the distant enemies that fled Eorzea? Or perhaps as one of the methods of transportation?

Elmer: Although, he did make sure to temper his comment with some mumbly qualifiers. "There may, perhaps, be something similar to Magitek Armor possibly, to some extent." and then the interviewer is like "Well, will there be or not?!"

Corinth: I think it's pretty safe to say we'll see something like them in FFXIV.

I'd like to see more aspects from FFVI, as it was my favorite RPG of all time. I definitely think magitek armor has a place in FFXIV.

But the Garlean Empire especially uses a ton of technologically superior vehicles. Hell just watch the intro video and you'll see they've got tons of different types of airships. And all that was 15 years ago lore wise so they're likely more advanced than that. The R46 quest...

What's wrong with just having permanent chocobo mounts (No rented chocobo mounts like XI) that can be different colors to depict their standing. They don't necessarily need to be raised. I absolutely hated the chocobo raising in XI. And to further vary the look of the chocobos from each other there can be crafted chocobo armor.

If I remember correctly Chocobo Breeding was one of the most highly demanded features in FFXI.

And it was widely used ... for about 3 months.

Speaking about chocobo only, the most important thing for me is the customization. It needs to be very deep and useful, not only aesthetically speaking. Like to put on it some bags to carry more items and armours to fight in particular zones (maybe in the territories near Garleans) and learn abilities to interact with the enviroments (jump -to reach high places-, digging -to find items or bones-, speed, charge and special attacks, etc. -and why not, fly-). It should be part of the gameplay (not only a vehicle to use to travel from point A to point B) and like a second 'character' to grow.

Well, as for my two cents, I wouldn't mind having more than just Chocobos to ride around on. Something four-legged and fast. Also the use of magitek armors would be cool. Less towards battle crafts, more towards hover-craft - (StarWars Speeders anyone? http://thepoweroftheforce.webs.com/s...eeder-Bike.jpg) - They could use this time to introduce Cid into the game, and he can make us some awesome stuff. O:

Also, with the looming of war upon us, whenever Chocobos are implemented, I think we should be able to get armored chocobos. I always wanted to ride one of the battle-ready Chocobo from XI when you go into the past.
