I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Very true, actually Final Fantasy VI was considered a steampunk genre video game because the game was set in a words that was much like the second industrial revolution. The Garleans also seem to use mechanical type machines that, instead of running of steam type functions, run off magic type.
Personally, while Chocobos are the mainstay in FF games, I wouldn't mind seeing other types of mounts in the game. Even if other types of mounts aren't part of what makes FF what it is, there have been many things that weren't in earlier FF games that were introduced later on in the series that became part of what makes FF what it is.
Since it does say:
This makes me hope, though I would be fine either way, that maybe they are thinking of introducing more than just chocobo mounts to the game. Also I really did enjoy the breeding and raising system in FFXI, and I actually raised 3 different chocobos in my time playing that game. I wouldn't mind at all if they introduced some kinda of breeding/raising system into FFXIV.Examination of mount system (including chocobos)
But as always, we will see what SE decides to do!
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
