As I'm sure is a surprise to no one, there are a lot of varied opinions on personal mounts. We'll be looking into, and evaluating, the most popular ones. That said, please continue to let us know what you want to see in the future!
Can you please ask SE to hire a real GAME DESIGNER to decide and design these things instead of trying to gauge to which direction the mud-slinging on the forums seems to have a stronger current?Hey, gang! I would like to see chocobo's being very customizable as some others have said. Many colours, different size/style feathers, different colour saddles, differences in beak size, different chocobo breeds perhaps. I think it would be very interesting to see everyone having different chocobos.Hey, gang! Spoke with Yoshida about your lively discussion surrounding mounts. For a different type of mount it would be cool to see something similar to the Sleipnir from Final Fantasy XII.

What I would like more than having many types of mounts, is having few (maybe 3 different types of mounts at most) but very customizable.
I can't wait to see what SE has in store for us. I hope they surprise us. :3

I want a flying chocobo. WoW has flying mounts and it looks fun. Eorzea would be so beautiful to explore from the skys as I manually fly my chocobo from epic landscape to epic landscape. If you just give the flying chocobo a chance I think everyone would love it.

I cant seem to get how it would work, i mean, with all of the invisible walls on the map and such.
I think it would be awesome, but would it be any faster than on foot? They'd have to have some hidden areas or something to explore for this idea to be considered.

I would hope the it would be much faster than a char. on foot AND even faster than a running chocobo. Just to be clear I would like to see the classic running type of chocobo as well. I want a flying chocobo along the lines of the black chocobo in FF7; even if I could only land it in special area's like camps.

Oh sorry, by on foot i meant the chocobo itself. It would have to stay within the map itself, everything would look pretty but you'd be very limited in airspace.I would hope the it would be much faster than a char. on foot AND even faster than a running chocobo. I want to see more than just Chocobos as mounts. We need to move past dusty old standards and innovate a little. I want to create the Lominsan Crab Cavalry damn it!

Magitek armor stolen from Garleans would be nice if it was used in certain areas where Chocobos couldnt go.
Just try to keep it within FF bounds. Various types of chocobos would be cool as well, and of course you've got hovercrafts that can skim across water from FFIV...but im not sure how that would work.

As long as the mount system allows us to summon our mounts anywhere in the open world without weird gimmicks I'd be happy.
