Why does it always have to be convenience over fun?

Are you saying that the current implementation of the market wards is fun? 'Cuz it's not.

Playing the market is fun, buying and selling is fun, analyzing the system is fun, making profits is fun. It becomes not fun with a laggy, crashing, inconvenient mess like what we see now.

In addition, to those people who find economic activity to be not fun regardless, the faster one can do it , the faster one can get back to doing other things he actually considers fun.

Why can't we have a thriving market economy like the one SE intended? Why does it always have to be convenience over fun? Why not just let the game do everything for you so you can fulfill your Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Inner Nerd by getting to R50 the fastest? Why why why?

SE's original market structure was unrealistic and placed too much faith in the players to carry out their little dream scenario where everyone interacts and bargains. They thought people would develop values for items in relation to others available in more face-to-face style interaction. Unfortunately for them, and apparently the people who want to play it that way, but the modern MMO market is catered more to get people where they want to be and do what they want to do, rather than make it an arduous build-up of mundane tasks beforehand.

This makes no sense in the context you've given it. The points you've quoted are all reasons that 'bringing it to the streets' is a bad idea.

Pretty much can end the discussion here, it's not going to happen because of the server load as well as the inconvenience.

Hence why my suggestion comes with a search feature. It's a better alternative to the stale market wards that are claustrophobic and instanced and boring.
