The things I would do for a FF8 like card mini game vs others players in XIV

One of my favourite part about FF8 was the cards collecting and the amazing matches against difficult NPC with difficult rule sets.

How amazing would it be if XIV had the same exact card system implemented in FFXIV with some additions. You kill a certain type of monster and you have a chance to get it card. Even a random Coil/Crystal Tower/Primals drop would be awesome.

If I remember right this was brought up during beta and I believe Yoshi had said something like "we might if I get a good concept for a card game" not a quote lol.

So idk, I suggest if you or anyone else really wants a game you should start tossing some ideas out there.

I have no idea what I would do ...card games are probably simple to make but hard to make enjoyable, just my thoughts.

Triple Triad was too easy to abuse by having superior cards. This is part of what made it fun.

But I'd love something similar to it.

It was indeed brought up, and I think Yoshi has mentioned not having a super idea come across his desk.

I would absolutely love having something like this in game. The collector in me would go nuts.
