Questions regarding "AF2"/Allagan

Hey, guys. I have a few questions regarding the Myth AF and Allagan. I've not tried Bahamut's Coil yet but I understand that it has Allagan armor which is item level 90. Weapons also. I just got my Relic +1 yesterday and thought to myself "Maybe I should stop messing around with Botanist and try some coil." What is the difference between Allagan weapons/armor vs. Relic +1 and Myth AF? Item level is item level so if I just take the time (months) to get Myth AF, do I really need to enter coil? Thanks!

The armors have the same iLevel, but can carry different stats on each piece. Do some research and you can find out which pieces might be best for your play style. Or, you can just work on getting one set over the other (player preference). They are very similar.

Depends on the class. On most classes the AF2 / Allagan have the same primary stats. The only difference is they swap a few sub stats say Accuracy for Determination.

You do not need to do the coil if you are looking for similar gear. However you do if you want BiS.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but don't we have Artifact, and Artifact +1 armor? AF2 as mentioned will be confusing to people as it's not out yet.

As I understand it, you should be denoting AF, AF1 and to be released AF2.

He is referring to the ilvl90 AF set. Most people referred to it as AF2 until SE showed pictures on the Live Letter labeled AF2.

Its a matter of choice. I am personally doing AF1.5 (or whatever we are calling it now) because I can't deny myself looking like an awesome DRG. I do tend to however find gear with good Determination and Crit on it. So like someone said, if you are seeking stat efficiency, I would do your research on what you think is the right gear to get. Nothing wrong with mix and matching.
