    Coils Turn 2 Question (Warrior)

    So far I've downed Turn 2 as a Warrior three times. It wasn't until this most recent attempt that I realized why Turn 2 seems harder for me than any other turn; my IB's only heal me for 75% of what they normally do.

    A semi-buffed (meaning no Berserk) IB would only heal me for around 970 max (non-crit), whereas on any other fight in this game it heals me for a max of about 1300 (non-crit). If I had Berserk up I'd heal for a max of 1400 (non-crit), whereas normally i'd heal for 1850. This makes it clear that there is some buff to all the Turn 2 bosses, which in-turn make us even less effective as tanks.

    So here's my question: does the first orb to the left left actually reduce slashing resistance for the boss? Everything I've found said it does, but if that's true then why am I hitting my IB's for 25% less than normal? I feel so gimp without my full IB heals that I have learned to heavily rely on.

    If you're going the left route, it's the first orb (the one that casts Chain Lightning) that imposes the Slashing buff on the remaining nodes. All of the buffs are oddly worded at first glance, but if you do a double take, you'll see that they say something like 'reduces slashing received' or something to indicate that the mob is in fact taking less damage from those damage sources. All such 'buffs' seem to be ~25%.

    I play a bard now, but when I tanked ADS in turn 2 before, I basically never used IB unless I had full cooldowns available and was in dire need of a heal.

    Use Storms End and put the slashing resistance debuff on them when you're not tanking.

    These numbers were given with both maim buff and slashing resistance debuff. There is still a 25% damage reduction being done on my attacks, even when we kill the first orb to the left. Maybe the left orb is bugged and not actually debuffing like it says?

    See my previous post. All these 'buffs' the nodes get actually make them take less damage from those damage sources. Left route makes the nodes take less damage from slashing and magic. Right path makes nodes take less damage from blunt and piercing. And if you go all the way right and kill the quarantine node, it gives the boss a haste buff.
