Garuda wp never drops? (WHM)

I literally saw it drop 4 times in a row. My monk even has the WHM from greeding.

My Garuda weapon drops on the 7th attempt.
And after that when I did it again while equip her weapon (for relic quest), it drops again...and the other healer was a SCH...so the tank took it :3

I was just rudely lucky and got it on my first run -.-
Made me feel bad too, since it was a run solely to get some of us (including me) the relic step.
On that note..we need more ilevel 50+ shields..or any..really.

Just really unlucky. ): I've seen the WHM Garuda weapon quite a few times...but on the other hand, I've seen my bow drop once in 50+ runs and I wasn't the one who won it. In the end, I just bypassed the Garuda bow altogether, though I wouldn't mind having one once vanity slots are available.

I hate that stupid feather duster. The Ifrit Cane was good enough for me to get through Titan.

I've only seen it once and gladly passed on it (though, admittedly, I already had my relic at the time).

Because I did it once, farmed garuda 8 times in one night, everyone in the team got a weapon.

What you say is akin to "if you roll a die 6 times, the chance of getting each number exactly once is 100%". Math police no like!

So, calculating the actual chance of getting exactly one of each of the 8 possible weapons when doing 8 runs of Garuda goes something like this:

Number of runs (R) = 8
Number of possible outcomes (different weapons) (W) = 8
Probability of a specific weapon dropping on a kill P1 = 1/W = 0.125
Probability of 8 specific weapons dropping in 8 runs (D) = P1^R = ~0.00000006
Numer of different orders you can get 8 unique weapons in (O) = R! = 40320
Total chance of getting 8 different weapons in 8 runs = D*O = 0.0024

So, the real answer is 2.4%!

I mean, I agree with you assessment but you can't really talk about probability in something that comes from luck.

All I can say is in my experience, a continuous grind would give a more favourable result than just DF in random or doing it ust once a day.

On top of it, my group decided to pass everything if you don't need it. So it only have 2-3 people rolling greed on a ingle item for their alt class and the rest role need when what they want dropped.

All I am saying is, you can improve your chances by organising your own HM raid.

This is no joke. I got Ifrit WHM weapon on the 4th successful run. Garuda WHM weapon after my 3rd. I guess I am the luckiest guy on my server, lol. But yeah, WHM weapons do drop.

It took me about 30 ifrit kills for that one. Then Garuda it dropped the feather duster on my third kill. I helped my tank friend farm for ifrit and it took us about 80 kills. The other pally said it was his first ifrit kill and lost the roll. Cane of Crags dropped on my first kill.

It isn't a big upgrade from the ifrit weapon and even then you need a shield with it. If you have ifrit's you are fine for killing Titan to get your relic.
