Uhh.... what? You do realize that Paladin already has access to raise, and does not need to change to GLA to get it, right? The current thread is about gaining access to using Raise in combat. Currently the only way that CNJ raise can be used in-combat is on CNJ itself, as they gain a trait that removes the out-of-combat restriction that is in place on Raise by default. Ressurection on the other hand is in-combat by default I believe and no traits necessary. But I don't believe Resurection is a cross-class activated ability.
On the topic of cross class traits. That 8 pecent increase to stone skin would kinda be overpowerd. On a pld with 5.5k thats pretty close to 1k of shielding. So basicly its like healing yourself for that much.

how much damage reduction does stone-skin give anyways ?
And whats its cast time for PLD?
Hmmmm a raised Healer with a 2 minute weakness debuff makes life cushy and easier.....and your playing the same game I am?What then? Give everyone comfy pillows to sit on while they rationally argue with monsters until they decide to give you their loot and go home?
Wipes happen. Deal with it.
WHM, SCH, and SMN can all raise during battle. If you're worried about a wipe because your healer(s) died, take a SMN DPS.
Content is already easy enough, we don't need SE to go and make it any easier.
How I see the new abilities:
Asylum - Get ready for my holy spam because that's the only healing you gonna get.
Aero III - I guess I should put some dots up before holy spamming.
Assize - I need more MP to spam holy even more, also stop getting hit in the face.
Tetragrammaton - I guess I should heal that tank now.
Stone III - There's less than 3 mobs left alive. - Ragns Meuhie
I actually do agree with this. PLD's don't really feel much like PLDs in this game :/ Not enough magic.

yeah agree cure sucks for us i don't know why also when you are dead you don't get 255mp when you are raised again for shield othe a fuck up there lol
watch closer tera boobs they glow lol
I think I'll pass, most content in the game is already easy enough with a little practice and patience. Besides most 8 man content goes with two healers, and typically if everyones getting hit or the tank's taking so much damage that the 2nd Healer can't take a few seconds to help out a player who got sucker punched there are probably more things to be concerned about than letting a PLD help zombie a group through content.

In what way does making content more forgiving NOT make it easier? Can you imagine a 24 man CS group with 6 or more incombat instant rezs and THEN 24 people using items? This would allow for 30 + deaths in a fight to be remedied.
Sounds like it would make it easier to me...
How many 24 man content will there be? Besides, if PLD was given combat raise, it is most likely they'll be the last resort/last ditch effort to use it to recover from a possible wipe.
As it is right now, Raise is useless on PLD. In a 4 or 8 man instance if the healer or anyone that can raise didn't dodge an aoe and dies then its their fault but, when that happens the PT automatically wipes. "Oh damn.. Healer is down, lets wipe and start over.." To me its just broken having raise on your action bar, and you cant use it to bring back the healer if you're the only one alive that can raise.
Its very rare, but it happened twice with me. As I wonder how both healers not dodge an AOE and died at the sometime. The other five party members just accepted it, and waited for the wipe. I know you can't always win them all, but a wipe like that is just sad. Its not like going down fighting, its more like I give up, lets start over.
