    question to ps3 players

So yesterday the laptop i'm using to play broke... Graphic card zone, so i'm sending it for repairs.

I do have the ps3 version and an installing it for thé duration of the reparation. My question is: can i play the ps3 version with kb+m the exact same way as on PC or do i absolutely need to use the controller?

    Thanks in advance

From what I understand you can use a keyboard and mouse but you cannot use the PC hot bars.

Looks like you have to deal with our lack luster system..

Sorry bout that ..I feel for ya, it works well enough but I don't like it.

From what I heard we used to be able to at least keybind our spells and such in phase 3, but for some reason they took that out.

Pretty much what killed playing SCH for me. =/

Each bar has 16 slots... If we're talking abilities alone; there is no way you could fill up four bars.

It's not really about the lack of space for actions but more about the amount of actions on thé screen at the sale time...

    It was never doable
I tested it in beta3, no normal hotbar on the PS3 to keybind skills.

While you can't have them all on screen at the same time, I actually prefer that because it means less clutter, and more screen to see the battle.

I mostly play as WHM, and lately what I have been trying to do is group by category.

I have a pre-battle bar, which covers things like protect, mark macros, and repose macros. Things you may do at the start of battle but not often throughout so this is not my in battle bar rotation.

I have my battle normal go-to heal bar, and 15 skills covers that. This bar is up 99% of any pure heal battle, if not 100%.
I have a battle DPS bar, and again 15 skills covers that. This bar is up 50%-99% of the time in fights where it is easy enough to manage DPS and heals.

Then I have an "oh crap" bar, which covers things like LB and potions, raise etc.

To switch between them I use the 16th slot, where each one is macro to switch to the next. 1->2->3->1

    Heals -> DPS -> Emergency -> Heals

For my Heals -> DPS, and DPS -> Emergency, I turn on and off cleric stance as part of the switch macro.

So if I am on heals, and I need an emergency skills, I hit the switch combo twice, then my skill, then hit switch again and I am back to heals. I found it the easiest solution thus far for me anyway.

Not sure whether my PGL or archer will end up looking remotely similar, but just to give you an idea.

I tried that. But the whole battle mode on/off thing drove me crazy, so I am just using regular bars and macros for now.

Also, this approach builds in the cleric stance. So I am switching bars and stance at the same time.
