tank casting stoneskin while tanking

would like to know any end game tanker would spam casting stoneskin while tanking boss?
personally i have a habit of doing that (eg t1 snake boss after split and waiting other snake to die), but wont cast affect affect ur parry/dodge rate?
any opinion on this? share with us

This should be default for the plds.
I usually cast it while boss making a big move, or cast it on MT (while ST), this will help out healers a lot.
No sure about perry and block tho. Logically, it shouldn't affect anything while casting.

i meant when casting the 2.5s spell, during that time wont u unable to dogde/parry due to casting? so spam casting ss is a bad idea?

never had an issue with dodge/parry/block during SS casting + Main Tanking for any of the content.

i usually cast the first opportunity i get during a battle. it helps buy healer a little bit of time.

When I use to tank on PLD I would cast it in anticipation of large attacks or heavy AoE phases to reduce healer stress; there were a few times I "spammed" it to save what looked like wipes, it gave my healer enough time to use full-cast raise and allow a DD to use t1-2 LB and end the fight.

All of the good ones, and some of the bad ones.

When MTing, the trick is to (i) Not take too much damage during the casting of stoneskin so that it doens't get interrupted (ii) Wait until you have enough of an aggro lead to use it... with bonus points for (iii) Time the casting so that it kicks in RIGHT BEFORE a big hit.

When OTing, you can spam it on the MT in certain fights. Crystal tower is a great example: the Tower tanks should be spamming it on themselves and/or the Giant/Behemoth tanks.

You can still block and parry while casting. One mechanic of the game is that you can't be interrupted when you block or parry. So spamming SS while Bulwark is up works great.
