Crafting HQ (LVL 50 Weaver Rotation Help)

    I am a level 50 weaver.
My goal is to HQ Vanya robes and hats. What cross class skills do I need in order to do that?
As for the the cross class skills, I need to know which class obtains it and at what level.

Lastly, what is the best Weaver rotation for successfully crafting Vanya? The cross class skills I currently have are Waste Not, Hasty Touch, Rumination, Brand of Wind, Brand of Lightning, Byregot's Blessing, Rapid Synthesis, and Careful Synthesis II.

    Current classes:
    Carpenter 50
    Weaver 50
    Leatherworker 23
    Armorer 18
    Culinarian 17
    Blacksmith 12
    Alchemist 9
    Goldsmith 1

    Here’s my gear:
    Tool: Clotho
Secondary Tool: Militia Spinning Wheel HQ
    Hat: Weaver’s Gibus HQ
Body: Weaver’s Swallowtail HQ (Craftsman’s Command Materia III)
    Hands: Weaver’s Gloves HQ
    Waist: Raptorskin Merchant’s Purse HQ
    Legs: Weaver’s Trousers HQ
    Feet: Weaver’s Thighboots HQ
Necklace: Electrum Choker HQ (Craftsman's Command Materia III, Craftsman's Cunning Materia III)
Earrings: Red Coral Earrings HQ (Craftsman's Command Materia III)
    Bracelets: Militia Wristlets HQ
    Ring: Aetheryte Ring HQ x2

    Edited for clarification purposes

Well for woolen yarn its pretty simple. I like to use inner quiet, steady hand, waste not, then use 2 basic touch then 2 advanced touch. After that i use great strides, steady hand again and byregot's blessing... but since you dont have it just use advanced touch or something... For the star crafts i highly recommend you get byregot's blessing, ingenuity I, and steady hand II they are so worth it. You spam hasty touch with inner quiet up to get a huge quality with byregot's blessing. If you have enough CP you can even do 1 basic touch then 3 advanced touch.

You won't make it with those skills and not be playing an RnG game.

    Inner Quiet
    Steady Hand (I used II)
    Waste Not
    Hasty Hand X 4
    Rumination

    Inner Quiet
    Steady Hand
    Waste Not
    Hasty Hand x 3
    Masters Mend
    Rumination

    Steady Hand
    Waste Not
    Hasty Hand X 3

    Careful Synthesis II

I got to 73% but got a lot of hits on Hasty. That is the RnG.
For me it was pure RnG. The third time I didn't get enough hits on Hasty and I didn't have enough CP to do the third waste not, from Rumination. I ended up with 17% finish.

    - Final try, third Hasty Hand I didn't add a Steady. 5 x Hasty Touch, hit rate: 0 (Welcome to Fail Farming 14) Then got a HQ with 12% so yea..

Be fair though, Hasty Hand will work better when you try and use the Wool to make a product. So not getting HQ Wool isn't that big of a deal.

Edit: Did not notice you did not have Tricks of the Trade until after posting. It is not required but I really advise getting it.

If you are in a rush:

Drink +CP food (I like HQ Fish Soup)

    Exception rules:
    - If Good comes up when Great Strides is not active, Tricks of the Trade.
    - Always use your best available Touch when Excellent comes up unless you are 10/40 or 5/40 Durability.

    Inner Quiet
    Great Strides
    Steady Hand
    Advanced Touch
    Great Strides
    Advanced Touch
    Great Strides
If you had to Tricks of the Trade and there's no Good here, refresh Steady Hand
    Advanced Touch

If you haven't gotten lucky enough, Waste Not, Rumination if you need it badly, and try one more time with the best touch you have available (probably Standard) before that last 5/40 one shot with Careful Synthesis II.

With what you've listed Eiai, I think you have enough Control to 100% frequently. And on the ones you bust with a NQ, you should be able to spin them with a HQ one into HQ cloth.

Can't give a good answer without knowing what your stats are, as it's highly possible to be eating food that you're not getting the full benefit of.

Here's a listing of all the crafting stat food in the game.

Rolandberry Juice and Mahi Mahi are the two I use. Roland for craftsman, Mahi Mahi for control.

Getting Alchemist to 15 for Tricks of the Trade should be a top priority. It's technically not needed for crafting the 1 star and 2 star gear if your stats are high enough (aka, you spent a few hundred thousand on materia), but it's one of the best general purpose crafting abilities in the game. Alch to 15 is the first thing I'd recommend any new crafter do. Culinarian to 37 for Steady Hand II (and Hasty Touch along the way) being the first non "take it to 15" thing that's recommended if you want to set yourself up for long term crafting. Also not required, but having Steady Hand II is pretty nice.

Changed the question. Really need help crafting HQ Vanya, since HQ Vanya is the only one that's worth it.

Depends a lot on your stats/how much you are willing to meld. A lot of the cost of melding is from two main things. The Control 3 materia, which is a frontloaded cost as it's usually one of the first things you meld in, and all the overmelding on accessories.

For 1 star and 2 star crafts, Ingenuity is extremely recommended. To give you an idea, so you won't have to experiment as much, without it up your synth actions will give you roughly 55% of what they'd give with it active. Your touch/BB actions will be decreased by 25% (5% per level the craft is above you, capped at 25%). Between the two 'penalties' for crafting something above your level you can see how things can get rough in a hurry. Generally used at the end of a craft (for your final Great Strides touch + synth actions) as always putting it up throughout usually costs too much CP + the steps it wastes while other buffs are up (depends on your rotation, of course).

One thing that might be helpful to know, is that Ingenuity sets the recipe level for the duration of the buff, even if used on a lower level recipe. You could use that to test on cheap crafts to figure out how much progress you'll get with your synth actions to plan out how many you'll need to do for Vanya - likely 3 Careful Synth IIs. Standard Synth may also be an option (or even a combination of the two) though it does have a CP cost to consider + having SH still active. For the 2 star 40 Durability mats you'll likely need 2 Synth actions - the craftsmanship required to one shot it using Standard Synthesis without Ingenuity II is around 358, which is likely out of reach at the moment.

For your current setup (didn't list Control/Craft/CP), you'd probably have to use Hasty Touch (SH II is highly recommended again). Starting with as many HQ mats as possible is also recommended, especially since Hasty Touch can be a bit random. Figure out what you want for your ending rotation and the CP costs (so you won't blow up the craft) and work backwards from there. Tricks of the Trade is also incredibly useful when using a Hasty Touch method as more CP = more actions = more chances to buff Inner Quiet and your final Byregot's Blessing. For the same reasons, CP food is a strong pick.

As the progress/quality 'penalties' are the same for 1 star and 2 star, you could practice on the much cheaper one star crafts and just be aware of the slightly longer quality bar that 2 stars have (HQ mats help there) + the extra progress you'll need to get from synth actions.
