Yeah you have to manage it, but for a game that totes being able to switch to anything at anytime. It sure is not user friendly. There are far too many crafting materials, the fact you can't even keep 1 stack of every item, means either their are too many items or not enough space. Its not like you every out level the use of crafting items either, if your doing multiple crafting classes. Since whats low level only for one is needed in high level for another. It doesn't matter. It really doesn't. We now have more inventory than was ever available in either FFXIV or FFIX, by a large margin. Yet people still complain about how it's not enough. It doesn't matter how much space they give you, it will never be enough if you can't manage it.
I'm leveling multiple crafting classes at once and never seen this problem. They tend to be at same level across different class. Example, iron ingot is between 15-20 in both ARM and BSM. The aldgoat leather which is used in some of their recipes are from 15-20 LTW. Yes, there are way too many materials but that makes the game's variance. I would rather have that than the same materials making multiple stuffs but differs depends on the crafting classes. And I also don't have inventory problem.Yeah you have to manage it, but for a game that totes being able to switch to anything at anytime. It sure is not user friendly. Don't get me wrong but some of us have got used to the wonderful FF XIII inventory system. Which was keeping just everything. I think the only limit was that we couldn't have more than 99 items, though. It doesn't matter. It really doesn't. Oh, I didn't know that. In any case it is dangerous because if it disconnects I am pretty sure we lose everything.
I'm leveling all crafting classes at once also, and I see, that it is not the case. Iron ingots are used everywhere. Then there appears steel ingots, that require same iron ore (I farmed 500 ores, I thought it will be enough for me forever. And recently I needed to farm them again). And if you have a lot of space in retainers try to level culinarian AND fisher. There are 7.5 pages of fish in log, and I don't currently know, which is needed and which is not. And fish is also NQ and HQ, so multiply this number by 2.

wow that is a lot of fish, i just started my fisher and am enjoying it a lot.
i found that yes indeed the items do stack when they are identical so i spent a happy hour or so getting everything in order, thanks for all the help here. Much appreciated. I had confused HQ with regular in a number of cases. Had no idea there was that differnce with so many things.![]()
