ShutDown ERROR

As usual still cant post anywhere else on the forums ... sorry if not in the right place, but I feel this needs to be addressed.

The past 3 times I've been on the game refuses to shutdown normally, just goes to black screen. I've been forcing it shut by ending the process via the task manager.

It used to do that to me until I changed the performance. I had to set FFXIV to High Performance instead of Battery Saving and it stopped doing that. I doubt that is the issue with your game though... I'm still brand new to the game so I'm not sure what the tricks and stuff are to glitches or shut downs. Sorry I can't be of much help ._.

It just started doing it this week and I've been playing since launch almost everyday. I haven't changed any settings? But I'll check that

And whoa...I just noticed that I have 1 ribbon next the my avatar...o.o my other characters better still be there when the servers come back up *eye twitch*

i get this too when i do menu>logout>*back to startscreen*>exit game


on ps3 it used to take you back to the launcher, now it hangs on a black screen then the ps3 reboots after 2 minutes

A lot have been getting that and it's on todays 'hotfix' list.

It's a forum activity ranking, some combination of how many posts you've made, how many people have liked your posts, and possibly how many other posts you've liked. A gold medal on a red ribbon is worth five of the silver medals on blue ribbons.

Oh, good. Thanks for spotting that. I had the same thing happen yesterday (on PS3) and was wondering about it.

Ok on the forum medal then. On a good note , game shut down normaly this morning so I hope it stays fixed

I've been getting this too for about the past 2 weeks but doesn't happen every time or every day even. I've also been playing since launch and not seen this happen until recently.
