I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or it's because I'm a scholar but I just recently turned 47 and I have Miasma II....but it misses 90% of the time. What the heck's going on? Is it supposed to be missing this much? or is this a bug?![]()

Is a AoE dot around you like bizzard II range.
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
oh I see, so I guess the damage overtime is what "misses" since I don't always see the debuff on the enemy.
Taaaaaaaag everything in fates with it! Huehue.
[ 50 Scholar | 50 White Mage | 50 Summoner | 50 Black Mage ]Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.
It took me forever to figure this out as well ::face palm:: LOL
Does anyone use it for end-game single-mob boss fights?
I'm thinking of HM primals, BCOB etc?
On Single Targets Miasma II only does 70 potency across all of its dot duration, which is less potency than a Ruin or Ruin II. And because Scholars don't get Contagion on their pets, you can't extend it (summoners might use Miasma II when contagion is ready on single targets).
It's great for running into the middle of a pack of mobs being tanked and hitting Miasma II after Bane-ing your other 3 DoTs onto everything, and it's conveniently instant cast, but the fact you need to be close to things and it's overall low damage makes it pretty worthless on single targets unless you really need to quickly apply the slow/-health debuff if a mob has some kind of healing.
EDIT - on that note, and I haven't checked... does the disease from Miasma/Miasma II reduce the healing Garuda receives from the green beam sister on that encounter?
