EU lag

AOE's will hit you even if you are well far from area of impact. You have far less time to react to a threat than any other na or j player. Plus you get hit miles out the aoe area because of this horrible delay.
As a whm not only u look like someone who stays standing in the middle of a threat recieving bad words from impatient players, but if you are in the center of an aoe you don't have the time to move out of it.

This is very frustrating. You know that on duties you WILL be hit outside the aoe and you WILL get insulted


Pls move one server from canada to a closer eu nation for eu players. It feels like we are less important customers.

Been having this issue for weeks now.

Being a Paladin and running dungeons/fights were I NEED to stun the enemy is impossible because this lag/delay means I do not see the attack I am supposed to stun. My entire game now has just been turned into me gathering, because I cannot play with this ridiculous lag in effect.

I am on the Moogle server.

Agreed, the fact the server's aren't even in the EU is ridiculous and I'm doubtful the lag will ever get fixed as a result.

Some moves like the red cone attack you can stand inside the mob to create a shorter distance to run out. Another tactic is to move/act before the enemy action is marked on the ground which could end up that you running into the attack area instead of running out.

Some things like pulling the far away red line garuda sister to a good spot or continues dodging heavy attacks from Titan HM... you need great luck as skill cannot make up for the lag.

Yeah, even fates are impossible to complete wirh a decent amount of xp with this lag. The game in this way is only frustrating. Please do something!

Well I can log into World of Warcraft at have 31 ms of latency to the server. You know its kinda important for whats happening on screen to reflect actual events and until Square put some money on the table to provide the community with European servers that are actually in Europe then nothing will change.

Brace yourself for the influx of 'ZOMG its your connection,ISP,routing,BLAH BLAH BLAH' posts that will be sure to follow.

Guess Blizzard actually realize the importance of providing something that for all its issues is very much playable.

Until SE gives the EU there own servers the EU should not give them any money.

Is SE considering about having 1 EU server?

We are having a different and lower quality service, the game is great but this trouble hampers it

i live in the UK and i have no problems at all with lag, only rarely i will get a lag spike but thats it, or i get 90k'd.

also you may want to read the following post, http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...P2P-throttling which is probably the main cause of your lag issues.

so it may not be SE's fault, it might be your ISP's fault

I've seen players in UK been having problems also. Across whole Europe players have problems.

Some players actually found out it could be a specific traffic in the US area where it bumps. I'm pretty sure SE would be fixing that by now and change company (whatever) to let the traffic go around.

Or simply again.. get a bunch of EU servers in EU like Blizzard did with WoW? Sure hell it will solve 95% of EU players problem immedietly and yourself will get "Excellent" ping to the server.
