CM AFKers

Now here's an issue people are gonna bring up... getting carried. I've encountered quite a few incompetent (or illiterate or slow or mentally fragile) players while running CM (easy carry), WP (moderate carry), and AK (difficult to carry if tank/healer). I usually run in a group of 2-3 with my FC friends and we have carried the random undergeared character through these dungeons... but it gets progressively more difficult.

With 2.1, they are planning the MVP system and the Duty Purpose system which will allow you to select what you are running the dungeon for and match you with people of like mind (hopefully not too many undergeared selecting Speed Runs, although skill can make up for gear in some instances but gear can NEVER truly make up for a lack of skill).

To the "noobs, do WP" people.

Not everyone is running CM to farm tomes. Shocking, I know, but still. If you want to help a friend/FC member with their storyline you can't go and say "lets run WP instead of CM!". Also if you're actually more than 4 people, WP again is not really a convenient option, with the whole 4 man party going on.

People need to stop going "lol you're doing it wrong" when people point out glaring faults. It should NOT be the job of players to make sure AFKers don't bother them. It's SEs job to make sure that these kind of players can't afk. Either by actually banning them for what they're doing or implementing a proper vote to kick (Yes, I have 0 faith in SEs vote to kick, watch it have tenthousand limitations, so you can only kick in one scenario nobody ever encountered, because omg it could be abused). People need to stop acting as if the game is perfect simply because the issue doesn't bother them anymore.

Why do you guys just not run WP or AK? They both offer the same amount of philosophy, and WP can be run just as fast or faster than CM.

1) Like johnist said, gear... plain and simple CM is easier than WP/AK and has more room for slack
2) If your like me (casual, no LS/FC, 1-1.5 hrs a night TOPS), you rely on Duty finder, and people rage quit WP/AK if you dont have relic + full dark light, i had 3 groups disband on me for being a healer without relic in AK before a group was nice enough to let me go with them. we still cleared it in 20 minutes, but most people aren't willing to try

When people go afk in CM I try to convert it to a Spirit Bond run. Where we deliberately skip the search lights and just farm trash in spirit bind gear until they come back and be like "Why we no killing bosses" and I say "Oh this is a spirit bind run, we don't kill bosses here". Then you punish them and still get something out of it.

I got an afker in praetorium last night, first AFK I've ever had. The universe must have been having one of it's rare days though, the guy DC'd right before the last bosses so he go no tomes anyways. xD

Great idea! Had someone in our FC bragging about AFKing while in CM runs, he was all I play LoL while afking in CM. Arent you a tank? Yep... And then I kicked him from the FC.

You're on the wrong dutyfiner server my friend. I will gladly take an undergeared player (Item level 42+) through WP if the undergeared player has an IQ high enough to read and learn and apply said learning to the situation.

I lol at Relic requirements as AK doesn't even need Relic for win, just for speed. For AK I ask at least Item Level 55 weapon (Darklight (WP drop), Crafted (Prerelic), GC, or Ifrit (60), and an average item level above 49 for the body.

How are people finishing AK in 20 minutes with duty finder? even with +1 DD's it usually takes me 30-35 o.o
