    Why the attack? As the topic starter, I've mentioned that all of my jobs are capped, all of my cross class skills are released. Maybe the person quoted above would like to do dungeons too instead of fate grind 9 jobs to level 50.

    Now with that point made:

    SE rushed the game out because there was a large community in waiting that they made some promises to. Would they have liked to add more content before releasing the game? Sure they would, but we just wanted to play and are willing to wait for additions.

    On Topic: Dungeon options SE can add in the future to make the game more exciting.

    They released the game early because of investors...about it. They should've waited at least until November, pushed CT with release, and 2.1 bringing updates to Coil, CT, and hard mode dungeons with extreme primals. There is literally nothing to do in this game right now for people who care about end game...cleared coil in 38 minutes this week and who knows if Twintania will come up working(I suspect not).

    Could be worse my friend! You could have played when there were no HNM's, no dungeons, no primals... all you could do was... 8 leves a day. Yep that's it... absolutely nothing else, and they didn't stack... those 8 were reset every day used or not.

    A lot of us who have followed FFXIV from the beginning of time are very impressed with the amount of content available. Of course you can run out of stuff to do, but the upgrade is very impressive and surely we are headed in a good direction.

    Honestly I like their idea of actually changing the dungeons for Hard Mode (as is planned) rather than just leveling up enemies.

    That is an option. It isn't the fastest XP wise, but there are benefits to dungeons that aren't available in FATEs. This kind of mind set makes me wonder how decisions are made in real life if so many people cannot weigh pros and cons of different options.

    So while I agree with the concept of having hard mode versions of all these dungeons in terms of new strategy and extra difficulty, the sticking point for me is this: why do they have to drop useful stuff for you to run them? I rerun halatali, toto-rak, hauke, qarn, cutter all the time when I can because they are fun, and they don't drop anything I want. I even rerun sastasha and tam-tara and copperbell for fun occasionally too.

    Your own level is already scaled back to dungeon cap so you lose your high level abilities, hp, mp, etc, and that means while they may not be the most challenging they are still usually fun.

    I guess it is the same thing as AK.. I mean, why do people only run the most "efficient" dungeon in a game? It really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. If the dungeon is fun to you, why does it have to drop something for you to run it? And if it isn't fun to you, why not play a dungeon that may be less efficient, but is more fun?

    Talking about inefficient repetitive tasks: I just spent an hour leveling up a character a single level by killing about 30 cactuar. Probably the least efficient way of leveling there is, but it was fun. Why else do I play? I wouldn't do it exclusively of course, but still....

    Getting loot can be fun, the randomness of not knowing if you are going to get something can be fun. But that doesn't seem like a very sustainable reason to play to me if that is a requirement for your to remain interested.

    Had to laugh at this. SE is a LTD company. They don't have to please "investors" seeing as it owned in-house. They can take all the time in the world on a game. If it was publicly traded then you can bet your bottom that we wouldn't have seen FFXIV: ARR.
