    Gathering attempts and shards

    Could we please bring back the 5 attempts per node. It makes Brunt force a rather useless ability seeing as it an only be activated after chain 4, meaning you could only ever use it on nodes with gathering attempt +1 on it. Attempts need to bee raised by one or change brunt force to activate after chain 3. The original excuse for taking away one attempt per node was that SE did not want the market flooded with crafting mats, but that exact same thing is going to happen after the 15th when the BTN and MIN exp is boosted, more higher gatherers means more mats on the market = Lower prices. So just bring back the extra gathering attempt per node. Also the rate at which you gather shards is ludicrous, I have to farm shards for like 2 hours for what 20 minutes of crafting with some recipes calling for 5-6+ shards per item and some requiring 2 diff shards on top of that. 1 shard per attempt unless you use a 400 GP ability to bump it up to 3 per hit and it takes how long to regen GP?

    While shards are limited you also have to think about how much xp those shards give to crafters. Yes a single craft can cost 5+ shards but you can also get 5k+ xp as crafter from one synth. So I'm not sure if it's ok like this.

    But I do understand the pain. In my opinion it would be graet when higher level nodes would also yield shards so people can at least level on them. This should definatly drop the prices on shards.

    I think it would just seem kinda natural for higher level mining nodes to just give more shards for each mining attempt.

    I mean it seems odd a level 40 node gives as many shards as a level 5.

    It's plain goofy having crafting materials be worth less than the shards you use on those materials.

    You still get *six* attempts per node on leves, and Brunt Force/Deep Vigor is quite useful there.

    You only get 6 attempts when doing Leve Quests. Regular open field are 4.

    Shard farming is a hard core burn out factor. It's going to be the fatal blow to crafting for me.

    Please correct me if i'm wrong, but you don't get shards from gathering leves do you?
    If not it doesn't really matter how many hits you get per node inside a leve, need more in open world.

    Leves are graded in time, some are graded on amounts of materials or overall success rate. So yes, it does matter in leves too.

    The gather rate for shards is fine for nodes below level 30, because crafts at or below level 30 don't really use many shards. But after 30 crafting is when the shard consumption just goes insane. Every level 30 node should give you 2 shards per swing at that point, and at 50 you should be getting 3-4 per swing. It's insane when I have 0 GP, and it takes four gathering nodes to get the shards to make ONE item. One item, when it takes HUNDREDS of items to level up. Yes, it is nice when you can use the ability to get more shards, on a +1 yield or attempt node, but when you can only use that ability once every 10 minutes, it is nearly worthless.

    I would like to see the gathering of the shards give EXP in proportion of the gatherer's current level. As of now, shards gathering is the single most tedious thing in this game for me, and from the sound of it it's also what the bots profit from for the identical reason. The actual reward for the DoL is minimal, while it is something that Has To Be Done.

    Doesn't need to be huge proportion of EXP, but at least make it enough that the gathering don't feel like a complete sentence.
