    Completely confused (Materia Melding)

    So I've been trying to put some Mind materia into my Vanya Robe/Hat, but it always says item level isn't high enough for the materia to take effect. (was using tier 3 mind). But I've seen people use tier 3 and even 4 materia on these robes! Am I missing something?

    The item level is too low to add more of that stat. It's not worded the best it could be.

    The Vanya Robe of Healing (HQ) is capped in MND, VIT, and Determination, so you cannot add any more of those stats to it.
