What you have to do b/c of the spell lag is preemptively move before they come. You need to know what's coming next. And if you happen to forget what's next. It's probably plumes. SO just start moving. If you are moving before the plumes come, you are 99% more likely to not even be in one when they sprout. I had to learn the fight this way. Is it annoying. Yes. It isn't an easy fight, but if you can just be moving before he casts, you are gonna dodge everything.

The thing i fail to understand is why SE is to blame for ISP throttling?
I skimmed that thread which was posted here. I see people suffering from throttling issues, people with various other issues. All blaming SE for it.
The thread imo looks like a dumping ground for anyone who has a connection problem they "feel" isn't their own fault.
Some ISP's may work great locally but as soon as you get out of the country you are in they can be horrible. I changed ISP's on more than one occasion because of it.

I do understand that it is frustrating when the game you want to play seems to be the cause of your connection problems but it could be lots of other things. The fact SE is trying to sort this out if anything shows they actually do care. Even if at the moment they just seem to be gathering evidence.

It wouldn't surprise me that some people who are complaining are on limited bandwidth deals and when it runs out they get capped for the rest of the month.
Some people could have little to no knowledge of what their connection speed actually is and are just presuming it is all SE.

There are two videos in this thread that clearly and unequivocally demonstrate the problem of moving well outside of the red and still being hit. Why you or anyone else would deny this is a real problem boggles my mind.

As someone who has DF Titan fight for a week here's what I think:

99 percent of the players that get hit will always blame lag whether it's true or not.
80 percent of the players go into the fight undergeared and think it's okay because they saw a youtube vid of players doing it.
Most healers can't heal phase 5.

The main reason I think Titan is hard is because the fight is unforgiving. One death and it's hard to recover. You have to rely on every player to play well which rarely happens in df.

IMO it has nothing to do with zooming camera out further.

Nope, 1 meter ethernet cable. Mentioned in the (p.s.). My internet is fine for everything else, my ISP acknowledges the problem (although they believe it to be upstream of them), they are actively trying to fix it, and keeping everyone with the issue updated on the progress. Haven't once told me my camera is zoomed in too far either.

I'm not really offended by what Yoshi said, or annoyed at all the people don't believe there is a problem despite the weight of evidence. It's just one of those things, my ISP is listening and doing what they can and on the whole it's been improving, with the lag patches become less frequent and shorter in duration.

(and haven't had Garuda go invisible for whole phases for a week or two either )

I've fought Titan hard many times and there have been times I've been hit because I lost focus for a split second and there were times I've been hit and it was purely lag. Zooming out on those fights is pretty much required if you plan to win. Hopefully they do get the lag/network issues handled soon because I experience them every afternoon.

If it was, we'd have grounds to sue over the FCC's internet neutrality laws...And I mean real $$$$ lawsuits.

As it stands, the CA server is simply from You --> Game. ~ Instances are You --> Game --> Japan - There-in lies the inherent issue and the lag.

It's actually VERY EASY to test for and see that the issue is one of buffering/latency from their server to the instance server.

You actually can see this even more evidently because your packet loss quadruples due to how many packets they're trying to now cram down your throat in an effort to compensate for the ping delay. -- Please note, IT DOESN'T WORK.

Isn't FCC an American thing? I know ISPs can throttle to their hearts content here as long as they tell you about it. That's how they sell the more expensive packages which don't have it
