Must be lonely up there on your pedestal buddy. ^^
So you want the system changed because you lost an expensive (2) materia's? Really Im sorry we all make mistakes, just deal with it and move on. We dont need a more forgiving system, what we need is for players to just deal with the mistake they made and move on, and not complain about a system that dose work just fine, because you lost gil for not paying attention to what you was about to do.

Its nothing like that but to come and cry or complain about a system that works, because you made a mistake and it hit you in your wallet shouldnt happen. It is just gil you can make more of it easily, there is no reason to change a system just because its an inconvience on your in game wallet, when you made the mistake of melding the wrong materia in the 1st place for whatever reason/s you have.
This reminds me of the guy or gal who posted that he wanted his myth tomes back because he bought a pld head piece instead of the relic upgrade item. Mistakes happen but if SE changes something everytime a player makes a mistake than whats the point. Best advice and (yes its a hard lesson) is learn from your or whoever makes whatever mistake.
Agreed, and they need to fix the UI so it's friednlier. Like remembering old stuff the way you said it or -shrug- search option?
You can take the item to the troll that taught you how to do the melding in the first place and he can remove the messed up meld for you... I think its the bonfire near ul'dah.. I cant remember where his location is exactly but he can remove messed up melds for you...

Troll? That is a goblin, duh.
Yes I know but player's dont like the fact that he removes all melds but thats fine seeing as it is so easy to meld with the gaurenteed slots. If they just want just 1 meld removed than we should just use the old 1.0 melding system. Seriously cant have it both ways.
This is pretty major extremes, and essentially apples and oranges. "The players want to be able to remove the last melded materia separately; the only way to do that is to go back to 1.xx's destroys-everything-on-failure system."
No. No.
Other than an single accidental meld on a NQ instead of a HQ, I've never derped on a meld... but I still think the ability to remove materia individually - even just the last meld - is necessary. I'm not sure if it's the same on Balmung, but two tier IV craftsmanship materia will run you about 260k here on Hyperion. It's a lot more than just meld success rates. Materia, crafting materia especially, is very expensive, and there's no reason someone should have to replace them just because of one screwed up meld.
